Kempville Beverages is positioning its Karnataka-based manufacturing facility as an integrated private-label platform for premium tea and herbal beverage brands, supported by a $500,000 investment aimed at expanding manufacturing infrastructure, technology and production capabilities.
Led by tea industry veteran Ujjal Ghosh, Founder & CEO, Kempville Beverages Pvt. Ltd., the company is focused on combining tea sourcing, blending, packaging and manufacturing to serve emerging and established brands across domestic and international markets.
“With more than four decades of experience in the tea industry, I have seen the market evolve from traditional tea products towards more specialised, premium and convenient formats. Kempville is being built to address this shift by bringing together tea sourcing, blending, packaging and manufacturing capabilities under one roof,” said Ujjal Ghosh, Founder & CEO, Kempville Beverages Pvt. Ltd.
The company provides manufacturing solutions across pyramid tea bags, single-chamber and double-chamber tea bags, stick packs and premix sachets. It also supports brands with customised tea and herbal blends, packaging development and procurement of tea, ingredients and packaging materials.
“Our focus is to create a manufacturing platform that can serve both Indian and global brands with consistency, flexibility and scale. The combination of advanced tea-bag technology, strong sourcing capabilities and our strategic location in Karnataka gives us a strong foundation to expand our private-label and export business,” Ghosh added.
A key element of Kempville’s manufacturing infrastructure is its Wooshin pyramid tea-bag machine, which automates several stages of production, including filter-material feeding, product filling, forming, weighing and ultrasonic sealing. The technology is designed to support consistent production of premium pyramid tea bags.
Kempville is also leveraging its location in Karnataka to support export-oriented manufacturing. The facility is positioned close to air-cargo infrastructure and has connectivity to major ports, including Chennai for eastbound shipments and Mumbai for westbound exports.
Ghosh brings more than 40 years of experience in the tea industry, with expertise spanning tea exports, global supply chains, tea curation and blending, packaging, quality control and logistics. He holds a BA (Hons) and an Advanced Management Development diploma from IIM Kolkata.
Kempville Beverages was incorporated in May 2025 in Bengaluru and is developing a state-of-the-art facility for contract packaging and beverage solutions. The company plans to expand its infrastructure and production capacity as it builds its private-label and export business.
With its combination of experienced tea leadership, manufacturing technology and integrated product-development capabilities, Kempville aims to establish Karnataka as a base for premium tea manufacturing serving both Indian and global brands.
